Come in and allow yourself to be discovered by people who for one thing perhaps could really use you, and for another may be able to really help your acting career and help you to be more successful in future auditions. The experience you get and the people you meet at auditions will help you towards your ultimate goal no matter what your immediate situation.
Some auditions will be really tough to take and you may feel like you don't want to go on, but that cannot be all that it takes to make you feel defeated if you are planning to go into acting as a career. Besides, auditions are like dress rehearsal for life, if you can handle them in good form and show them your best side, you will that much better prepared for situations in the rest of the world.
The best auditions, of course, are the ones that end up with you in a nice tidy lead or supporting role, and a little pay to go with it, but consider also those auditions that end up with you in the proverbial chorus, or a bit part with a few lines. This should not discourage you. This should tell you that you were good enough to be chosen to be a part of the project, which is very important to someone, so they wouldn't have chosen just anyone for the part. Next time may be the one, so keep your head up, and break a leg!
